Composed of a Sample receiver with two high-current electrical contacts for DC-heating of SHOMDC sample holders, this fully configured assembly is completely mounted on a DN40CF (2.75" OD) flange, including wiring and the electrical feedthrough.

This provides complete, ready to use solution for sample heating/ annealing under UHV conditions.

  • Distance from flange face to center (or surface) of sample plate: customized
  • Completely mounted on DN40CF-flange, incl. wiring and electrical feedthroughs.
  • Installed Thermocouple:  K-type (chromel/alumel)
  • Mounted DC Sample Plate Receiver RECOMDC:
    • Receiver orientation: P (flag perpendicular to axis)
      • Other options: PS (flag perpendicular to axis, straight)
    • Fully UHV compatible materials:
      • Spheres: Ruby
      • Spring contacts, screws, washers for el. contacts: Molybdenum
      • Isolators: Shapal M
      • Body: Stainless steel 1.4301 (304L)
  • Sample Heating Plate SHOMDC:
    Sample Heating Plate is NOT INCLUDED in this assembly.
    • Minimum sample size (l x w x h): 8 x 1 x 0.2mm
    • Maximum sample size (l x w x h): 11 x 3.5 x 0.5mm
    • Max. temperature: The maximum temperature depends on the material and shape of the actual sample.
      • Note: The installed thermocouple (K-Type) limtis the maximum temperature to ~1300°C.
    • Material: Molybdenum, Al2O3
    • Both contact rails electrically isolated by Al2O3 washers
  • MS type air side connector included.
  • Power Supply: Not included (Recommendation: Power 150W, Voltage Range: 0-50V, Current Range: 0-5A)
