Vented Washers DIN 125-A – Stainless Steel A2 – Pack of 20

Vacuum-compatible stainless steel washers with four venting grooves, designed for high-vacuum (HV) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications.

These vacuum-optimized washers feature four integrated venting grooves that provide evacuation paths for gas trapped between the washer and adjacent mounting surfaces. This helps minimize virtual leaks, reduce outgassing-related delays, and improve pump-down performance in vacuum assemblies.

Manufactured from A2 stainless steel, the washers offer good corrosion resistance and are suitable for scientific instruments, vacuum chambers, and other demanding vacuum environments.

Dimensions & Configurations

The washers are manufactured according to DIN 125-A and are available for metric screw sizes from M2 to M8.

Each washer features four venting grooves and is available in uncoated stainless steel or with an optional silver coating. The silver-coated version provides an alternative surface finish for applications with specific assembly requirements.

Applications

Vented washers are particularly useful in bolted vacuum assemblies where conventional flat washers may create trapped gas volumes between contacting surfaces.

Typical applications include UHV vacuum chambers, surface science instruments, thin-film deposition systems, research equipment, and internal vacuum mounting structures.
