Ferrovac Swiss-made magnetically driven Miniature Linear-Rotary Feedthroughs provide smooth, precise and reliable linear motion and continuous rotation in Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) systems.
Their compact design makes them ideal for short to intermediate travel ranges and applications such as movable sample storage racks, load lock transfer arms, retractable heating stages and other positioning mechanisms inside vacuum chambers.
Magnetic force coupling allows smooth operation without the atmospheric pressure forces associated with conventional bellows-driven linear feedthroughs.

The magnetic drive provides smooth, controlled linear movement and continuous 360° shaft rotation for accurate positioning and manipulation of components inside UHV systems.
Compact Design
With a retracted length of just 30 mm, the Miniature Linear-Rotary Feedthrough minimizes the space required inside the vacuum chamber while providing linear travel lengths from 100 to 700 mm.
Reliable UHV Performance
Magnetic coupling reduces potential leak risks and mechanical wear compared to conventional long-bellows linear motion systems, ensuring reliable operation and long service life.
High Force & Torque Transmission
With a linear force of 30 N and a rotational torque of 0.5 Nm, the feedthrough can actuate internal mechanisms such as gears, sample transfer assemblies and positioning devices.
Adjustable Positioning & Locking
An adjustable stop ring allows a defined linear position to be set, while an integrated thumbscrew enables locking of the outer magnet to prevent unintended movement.
Tube Support
A single-sided tube support is provided with the standard DN40CF supported configuration to stabilize and guide the transfer tube.
